If an injury or illness requires only “first aid”
treatment, such as removing a splinter or the treatment
of minor cuts and abrasions, complete a "Medical Service Order"
and as needed escort of assist the employee to the Student Health
& Counseling Center. The Medical Service Order informs Student
Health Center staff that the employee is there for a work-related
injury or illness.
Department offices should have a first aid kit available for minor
injuries that do not require the assistance of a health care professional.
If you need assistance in keeping the first aid kit refreshed, please
contact Environmental Health & Instructional Safety.
If an injury or illness requires medical treatment beyond
first aid, complete a Medical Service Order. If the employee
is unable or unwilling to transport themselves to St. Jude, contact
