The University will repair, replace or reimburse costs associated
with a loss of personal property used in the course of employment
or required for the performance of work. However, the University
will not in most instances repair, replace or reimburse
costs associated with losses to personal property not
used to fulfill a job responsibility. Thus, employees who bring
to campus items such as microwaves, pictures and office decorations
bear the risk of loss to items not required for the performance
of work.
These guidelines do not apply to private vehicles used on University
business.
